Life with a Husky.
My wife left the gate open on the deck on Friday and the dog took himself for a walk. She found him about 1 hour later. Nothing seemed amiss. This morning he vomited up the remains of a deer leg including 1/2 of a hoof. Somehow he managed to swallow a freaking deer hoof. No he didn’t chase and eat a deer he was chewing on a 6 month old carcass in the woods.

Never let a dog lick your face. That tongue has been places you’d never want to venture.

...and I saw him eating deer poop in the yard this morning.

My aunt and uncle’s Golden Retriever used to drag rotting deer carcasses home, then just leave it.

That’s a sign of deer deficiency.

You can never take the wolf out of the dog.

Our dogs got their roughage eating chunks off the manure pile from the horse stalls. I learned this lesson early.

Never shake anyone’s hands. We do know where they’ve been.

This might well be the year the handshake dies.

No more handshakes for me. Not sure what to replace it with. “Namaste” with
folded hands and
a bow?

My little brother did that once when we were kids, but because he thought it would be neat to try and clean and preserve the bones. The garage stunk like hell for a while.
